Howdy.

First off, I’m a bit of a cultural cocktail. I grew up in Düsseldorf, Germany, graduated from a French high school in Metz and studied European Studies and Cultural Sciences in Maastricht, the Netherlands, before moving to London. That’s a lot of moving boxes! In London I worked as a children’s book editor and commissioning editor for 8 years, where I brought book ideas from first concept to publication. That means I got to create books about pretty much anything anyone would ever want to know about sharks, an agony aunt style guide to everything a young girl wants to know answered by histories greatest feminists, and, of course, dozens of books about dinosaurs. No really, dozens.

In 2015 I discovered a new hobby that would eventually turn into a business: hiking. Two years and a 2-month hiking trip around the West Coast of the USA later, I created my hiking blog called Fresh Air Outdoor Club in 2017. As my love for writing and personal wanderlust grew, I moved to Berlin and started a new career as a Copywriter. After a year of working in-house for a startup writing everything from blog articles, press releases, ad campaigns and gentle dishwasher-use-encouragement signs, I decided to become a full-time freelance writer. As well as a diverse range of clients to write for, I now have sole responsibility for the four mugs currently sitting on my desk, as well as the great honour to regularly elect my cat as Employee of the Month.

Some of my favourite things to write, think and talk about are yoga, mindfulness, meditation, the natural world, outdoor gear, small businesses, American literature and Justin Bieber.

You can read my CV below, if you’re into that kind of thing.
